one week ago, i had the pleasure of styling a photoshoot for local beauty insider magazine’s summer issue (with of course, my partner :: ruthie inocencio).
dominique mayfield james headed up the shoot as our creative director and her talented husband chance james was our photographer.

for the “girls night out” feature, we styled the ladies in dresses reminiscent of the 90s, chanel temporary tattoos, and sky high heels (naturally). with the summer sun feature, we turned toward festival inspired looks : easy breezy, rock n roll infused warm weather gear.

first off, let me start by saying that i am not a filmmaker but it’s definitely a hobby i’m coming to love! the film that you are about to enjoy (i hope) is my second adventure in video editing so there is still a lot of room for growth.

with that being said, i have put my heart and soul into this lil movie and i hope that it makes you smile! we had such a blast making it and i couldn’t have done it without the beautiful nicole. please leave commentary if you can, i want to know what you all think. thank you for your love and support <3

for look # 5 we wanted electricity! ruthie called up one of her family members for our final location. it was a beautiful ranch in clovis where we not only got to observe a gorgeous sunset but we made some friends of the animal variety.

the wide open expanse of land was the perfect contrast to our bold “wizard” ensemble : an american apparel bodysuit, forever 21 harness chain, wicked knee high boots, and embellished belt by dalita. the navajo cape, fur stole, and silver cuff are vintage. the shoe candy and headpiece were both DIYed by miss ruthie.
